Contractor shall install approximately one thousand eight hundred ninety linear feet (1,890 l.f.) of six-inch (6”) water lines, gate valves, hydrants, service reconnections, pavement repair, and all associated appurtenances
Location:
All work will occur in the City of Rio Vista, Johnson County, Texas in the following locations:

● Tower Road from 1st Street to 115’east of Casa Vista Drive

Approximately 0.87 acres.

Funding:
Project will cost $288,750 and will be paid for with $275,000 in HUD CDBG grant funds administered by the Texas Department of Agriculture and $13,750 in local funds.

Notice of Deadline to File Application for Place on Ballot

Its that time of year again for our Rio Vista General Election. The following places will be on the ballot for the election for the 2017-2019 term:

The deadline to run for council is February 16th. Packets can be picked up at the city hall between the hours of 8:30am and 5:30pm from January 17th thru February 16th. If you have any questions, contact city hall at 817-373-2588.

2018 Proposed Tax Rate

City of Rio Vista PROPOSED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR’S TAX RATE.

THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 8.00 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $30.69.

PRECEDING YEAR’S TAX RATE: $0.0596454 PER $100
EFFECTIVE RATE: $0.0591810 PER $100

2016 Consumer Confident Report

The Consumer Confident Report is required by The Safe Drinking Water Act of 1996. It provides the water customer the right to know and understand what is in their drinking water. The Consumer Confidence Report identifies the source of the drinking water. The treatment process used to purify the water and what the potential health effects could be.
